GLOBAL STRIKE FOR CLIMATE: CI SONO OTTIMI MOTIVI PER ADERIRE

VISTO CHE I GRANDI DELLA TERRA NON CI RIESCONO CI PROVINO I GIOVANI

Ricevo da una mamma responsabilmente preoccupata l' invito a pubblicare questa sua esortazione; aderisco all'invito con immenso piacere

Perché  incoraggio mia figlia di 12 anni a partecipare al Global strike for climate del 15 marzo.

Non è che io non dia valore alla sua educazione scolastica. Assolutamente sì!

E’ solo che sono fermamente convita che il 15 marzo prossimo lei apprenderà molte più cose al di fuori dell’aula scolastica che rimanendo a scuola.

Si unirà a milioni di studenti che in 50 paesi del mondo parteciperanno allo Sciopero globale contro i cambiamenti climatici.

Qualcuno potrà dire che una ragazza di dodici anni sia troppo piccola per partecipare ad uno sciopero. Sì, se vivessimo in un mondo ideale questa affermazione sarebbe corretta. Purtroppo noi non viviamo in un mondo ideale.

Mia figlia vive in un mondo oramai al collasso ed è grande abbastanza per comprendere la situazione catastrofica del clima e tutto ciò che da essa consegue.

Mia figlia sa benissimo che i cambiamenti climatici sono una minaccia reale per la sua esistenza.

Ed io, in tutta coscienza, non me la sento di negare questo concetto. 

Lei ha ragione a preoccuparsi. Non voglio che si senta senza speranza e soprattutto senza alcun potere di cambiare le cose.

C’è un’alternativa.

Alzarsi dal divano, uscire da casa, e combattere per ciò che è importante per lei. Andare a manifestare per mettere in evidenza il problema e chiedere che venga messo al primo posto nell’agenda politica nazionale.

Ma la lezione per mia figlia deve andare oltre l’argomento del cambiamento climatico. Io voglio che comprenda che lei non solo ha il potere di cambiare il mondo ma anche che ha il dovere di impegnarsi e combattere per un mondo più equo.

In questa società oramai individualista io voglio che lei sperimenti l’esperienza, l’energia e la speranza che l’azione collettiva crea.

 Marciando fianco a fianco con i suoi coetanei, attraverso il lavoro di squadra, lei avrà voce per parlare e forza per essere ascoltata.

CONSIDERING THAT THE BIG POLITICIANS OF THE EARTH ARE NOT ABLE LET' TRY THE YOUNG PEOPLE

I receive an invitation to publish this exhortation from a responsibly worried mother; I adhere to the invitation with immense pleasure

Because I encourage my 12-year-old daughter to participate in the Global strike for climate of March 15th.

It's not that I don't value his school education. Absolutely yes!

It is only that I am firmly convinced that next March 15 you will learn many more things outside the classroom than by staying at school. 

It will join millions of students who in 50 countries of the world will participate in the Global Strike Against Climate Change.

Some may say that a girl of twelve is too young to take part in a strike. Yes, if we lived in an ideal world this statement would be correct. Unfortunately we do not live in an ideal world. 

My daughter lives in a collapsing world and is large enough to understand the catastrophic situation of the climate and everything that follows from it.

My daughter knows very well that climate change is a real threat to her existence. 

And I, in all conscience, do not feel like denying this concept. You are right to worry. I don't want him to feel hopeless and above all without any power to change things.

There is an alternative.

Get up off the couch, leave home, and fight for what's important to her. Going to demonstrate to highlight the problem and ask for it to be placed first on the national political agenda.

But the lesson for my daughter must go beyond the topic of climate change. I want you to understand that you not only have the power to change the world but also that you have a duty to commit yourself and fight for a fairer world.

In this now individualistic society I want you to experience the experience, the energy and the hope that collective action creates. Marching side by side with her peers, through teamwork, she will have a voice to speak and force to be heard.
